Grindhaus Cafe Reviews
This place is so cute and cozy! I can't believe I've walked past this place so many times on Allen and never noticed it. We decided to come here for a book club. It was the perfect place for a group to meet. We immediately found an open table fit to seat our group of 5. I ordered the avocado toast and was not disappointed. Amazing presentation! I could never make avocado toast look like that. I ordered a side of the "bacon" and also enjoyed it. My beverage of choice was the strawberry lavender mint tea. It was delicious! I will definitely be back to try their coffee and other vegan menu items.
Lovely cafe in Buffalo with beautiful and tasty bites. Came in on a Sunday afternoon and it was definitely pretty chill, so it was easy to scoop up a seat. I wasn't sure when I'd get to eat again so I made sure to fill up while I was there. I ordered the avocado toast (as stunning in person as it is in photos) and a side of the smoked tofu pasta salad which was delicious (and now I want to throw chick peas in all my pasta salads moving forward) and a huge portion to boot. For a beverage I went with the cold brew coffee which I wasn't crazy about. But I came down with a head cold that morning so it might have been my taste buds were off. I think I just wanted it a bit stronger. A while later my husband went in and he loved his pour over hot coffee so I would definitely try that next time should I make my way back over here again. The space is comfortable and eclectic. Has a "welcome to all" vibe which I appreciated. The lovely barista was soft spoken but very kind. I felt incredibly welcome my entire visit.
A great community cafe focused on vegan eats, pour over coffee and tea. It also happens to have one of the best avocado toasts in all of Buffalo. Seriously, if you want a truly delicious toast that uses a WHOLE avocado, a delicious housemade spicy chipotle on toast; Grindhaus has you covered. There are also tasty salads, various vegan sandwiches and a pour over coffee menu as well as a large tea list. As of 2019, there are still no espressos, but it looks like they are trying to get a machine up and running, but no telling on timeline. Wifi is fast and it's a great place to get some work done. Very homey. I'd definitely recommend stopping in! They also host various community events, I've dropped in during poetry readings -- sometimes, you may walk into an event, but that's what makes Grindhaus the beautiful community space it is.
Grindhaus Cafe is located in Buffalo in the Allentown area. I heard about Grindhaus from a local entrepreneur, Beans Bastard. We visited the cafe in hopes of buying some of his coffee but we did not see any for sale. Like the area that the cafe is in, the cafe itself is extremely 'hipster' and friendly to all people. When you walk in, the column has a brief menu, but if you walk up to the register then you will find a few official menus. The prices seemed a bit much, but I guess you pay for quality. When we visited, the cafe was showcasing their cider and vegan hot chocolate. The cider actually came in about three or four different flavours. We ordered a plain black coffee and the half coffee half hot chocolate. The cafe wasn't very busy, perhaps 5 other customers. We waited maybe 10 minutes for our drinks, which seemed a bit long for coffee. Despite the wait, our drinks were fantastic and came in unique coffee mugs. The coffee was solid. Overall, if you're in Allentown then I recommend visiting Grindhaus Cafe. I don't believe it's worth venturing out of your area to come here unless you are vegan.
Came here for the first time last week and had a latte with coconut milk. It was delicious. Loved the people working behind the counter. Very helpful and pleasant. I wanna come back and try the avocado toast. Saw several people order it. That looked amazing. I really dug the vibe of the place. I'll be back.
